Connect Online SMS to your store

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.8 or newer
  • WooCommerce active
  • Online SMS account and API token
  • At least one Android sending device linked

Installation and setup

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce.
  2. Upload and activate the Online SMS Notifications plugin.
  3. Go to WooCommerce > Online SMS Notifications.
  4. Paste your Online SMS API token.
  5. Refresh devices and select one or more senders.
  6. Enable statuses and save your SMS templates.

Template placeholders

Use these variables in your WooCommerce SMS templates:

  • {order_id}, {order_number}, {status}, {total}, {currency}
  • {billing_first_name}, {billing_last_name}, {billing_phone}, {billing_email}
  • {billing_address_1}, {billing_address_2}, {billing_city}, {billing_postcode}, {billing_country}
  • {shipping_first_name}, {shipping_last_name}, {shipping_address_1}, {shipping_address_2}
  • {shipping_city}, {shipping_postcode}, {shipping_country}, {payment_method}, {shipping_method}, {site_name}, {order_date}

Troubleshooting

  • No devices listed - verify API token and linked app device.
  • SMS not sent - check selected statuses, templates, and sender permissions.
  • Wrong format number - validate billing phone format in checkout.
  • No credits or API errors - review plugin logs and Online SMS account status.
